Join us for an unforgettable evening at the NAACP Temple Branch 2026 Founders’ Day Celebration!

The Celebration:

For 117 years, the NAACP has stood as a powerful voice for justice, equality, and civil rights. Founded on February 12, 1909, our organization was built on courage, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to advancing freedom and dignity for all. Through generations of advocacy, activism, and community empowerment, the NAACP has remained steadfast in the fight against injustice and inequality.

As we honor 117 years of impact, we celebrate the trailblazers who paved the way, the leaders who carried the torch, and the communities who continue to rise together. The work is not finished, but our purpose remains strong. Together, we move forward with unity, action, and accountability for the next generation.

The Ruby Bridges Trailblazer Award, and Booker T. Washington Trailblazer Award, honors women and men with extraordinary achievements and unwavering commitment to breaking barriers in their field. Innovators that  have paved the way for our youth to dream big, aspire and achieve greatness.    “Don't follow the path. Go where there is no path and begin the trail. When you start a new trail equipped with courage, strength and conviction, the only thing that can stop you is you!”- Ruby Bridges

"Where there is no vision, there is no hope." - George Washington Carver.

Dare to Dream Youth Award

The NAACP Temple Branch is devoted to laying the foundation for our youth.  Not only do we want to see them succeed, but we also want to honor them along their path to success.  NAACP Temple Branch is pleased to recognize outstanding youths who are determined on shaping a future rooted in justice, equality, and empowerment.

The "Dare to Dream" Youth Award, celebrates young ladies and gentlemen with exceptional achievements and their dedication to breaking barriers and daring to dream beyond the ordinary.

Our youth are the visionaries of tomorrow, with profound dreams.  When they dare to chase after those dreams, they're unbound by the limitations of the present. Dreams that stretch beyond the ordinary; imagining new possibilities for justice, innovation, and a better world.

Youth who dare to dream remind us that the future belongs to those who are brave enough to envision it differently and determined enough to make it a reality.  "Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly." - Langston Hughes
