The Legal Redress Committee and Criminal Justice Committee comprise members of the NAACP Temple Branch. We are not lawyers, nor do we have a lawyer on staff in our Branch.  NAACP members are volunteers who generously contribute their time but may not always be available. In an emergency, please do not rely solely on the Temple NAACP for immediate response. When necessary, we receive support from our National Legal Team and individuals well-versed in various relevant fields.

Our mission is to address all forms of discrimination, striving to foster reconciliation among different community segments. You can reach out to the NAACP Temple Branch via the form below. Please note that complaints are not formally considered until you have completed and submitted the required Complaint Intake Form. While we take all complaints seriously, submitting a complaint form does not automatically guarantee action on the part of the Temple Branch.

It's important to understand that submitting a complaint does not establish an attorney-client relationship with the NAACP National Legal Department or imply their acceptance of a specific case. The NAACP offers a resource page containing contact information for various Federal and State agencies and civil rights advocacy groups that may be able to assist with your matter.

The NAACP Temple Branch may also offer contact information and assistance for concerned citizens facing commonly experienced issues or questions but does not provide legal advice.

The Legal Redress and Criminal Justice Committee's responsibilities include:

1. Investigating all reported cases

2. Overseeing all litigation of interest to the Unit

3. Keeping both the National Office and the Branch informed about the progress of each case (please note that it does not provide general legal advice)
